Platteview's boys golf team saw its season end in the B-2 district golf tournament at Tiburon. The Trojans finished eighth as a team and didn't qualify any golfer for next week's state tournament in Grand Island.

Marker, Schlange are district sprint champs

Senior Brandon Marker and sophomore Noah Schlange each won sprint events in the Class B-3 district track and field championships. The pair later ran with senior Payton Fluckey and junior Seth Starks to win the 400-meter relay at Waverly High School on Thursday. Marker claimed the 200-meter dash title, while Schlange captured the 100-meter dash. Senior Zach McCall and junior Adam Granville will join the four sprinters at the state championships next weekend. The Trojans finished third in the team standings, just three points shy of second place.

Kulm wins girls district shot put title

Sophomore Kenzie Kulm won the girls shot put in the Class B-3 district track and field championships on Thursday at Waverly High School. Classmate Kenzie Zach will join Kulm at next week's state championships after qualifying with third-place finishes in the 100- and 400-meter dashes. The Trojans finished eight in the team standings.
