Platteview (8-7) 47 Roncalli 40 A solid second half boosted Platteview to its eighth win of the season with a 47-40 home win over Roncalli. A 9-2 run to start the second half turned a 23-23 halftime tie into a 32-25 lead the Trojans wouldn’t relinquish. Platteview led by as many as nine points before the Crimson Pride pulled within four with 3:40 to play. Roncalli didn’t score again until inside two minutes left. A pair of layups from junior Laura Grubb gave Platteview a comfortable 45-37 cushion down the stretch. Grubb pace the Trojans with 15 points. Freshman Shelby Thayer chipped in 11.
